What kinds of barns are available to customize?

If you’re in the market for a custom outdoor structure you’ve certainly come to the right place. Whether you’re looking to add a shed to your backyard or a garage on your property, we’ve got you covered for both of those structures and many others. One of the other types of structures we provide here at Custom Sheds on Hwy 10 are barns. We have three different kinds of barns to choose from as the basis of your custom structure, and you’ll have plenty of customization options to adapt it to the exact way you want it.

Lofted Dutch Barn

Our first type of barn is the lofted dutch, which features a gambrel style roof and your classic farm aesthetic. Using this type of roof creates more overhead space, which enables us to include a loft for overhead storage so that you have even more space inside your barn.

Side Lofted Barn

The side lofted barn is similar to the lofted dutch in that it does include a gambrel style roof for that extra overhead space, but the big difference is that its double door is moved to the longer side of the barn instead of on the short end. In addition, a pair of windows surround the door so that you can have some natural light inside if you need.

4’ Barn Style

As you can see from the picture, our 4’ barn style is nearly identical to the lofted dutch barn, but the difference is that its walls are only 4’ tall. While it still has the gambrel style roof to maximize overhead space, there’s no loft as the barn is much shorter.

Customization Options

It’s important to remember that regardless of which option you choose, it’s just a starting point. We’re able to customize your outdoor structure pretty much however you want, with the limit only being your imagination. We’d love you to sketch our or detail your ideas for us and we’ll see if we can create exactly what you want. But here are a few examples of some ways to customize these barns:
  • Siding styles; vinyl, steel, etc.
  • Wall height
  • Shingle style
  • Overall size
  • Flooring style
  • Extra doors, windows
  • Cupola
  • Ridge vents
  • Workbench
  • Shelving
  • Electrical

Hopefully, this gives you a great idea of what you can get with our custom barns. If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to get in touch with us.
